Back in February 2021, my buddy Dan Angel came up to CT to track some stuff. We ended up tracking five songs at my in-law's barn. We had heat, booze, and these fun little candied dates filled with weed butter. They really knocked me on my ass. I tracked the guitars for "Blue Colony" lying on a couch. Since the nearest bathroom was across roughly 50 yards of ice, I suggested we piss behind the barn on the remains of a couch my brother-in-law and I had set on fire the previous summer. Thom, my father-in-law, owner of the barn, was not impressed and even less pleased. Too ripped to flip, too high to die, and unwilling to brave the elements, I found us some empty water bottles, and the session was saved. My mea culpa? To name the release after that wonderful barn, the one and only Thom's Barn.
Fast forward a little over two years, and Dan and I finally reunited to finish tracking with the invaluable assistance of Pat Conaboy and Gabby Eisenhower.
I consider myself to be a pretty cynical person, and I certainly don't consider that to be a good thing. It's something I work on. I like to think that Thom's Barn and Fantasy pair as proof of that, or at the very least, that I can turn my cynicism into something useful. But I also like to think that the Eagles' secondary isn't that big an issue and that our offensive line will stay healthy through the playoffs. We don't need that many designed runs.
At any rate, thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy.

Amazing album. Stay Personable in particular is the song I listened to the most in 2023. The guitar riff is an incredible blend of steady, playful, and at times a bit haunting. I love it. I can't stop listening to it. Doesn't look like it'll happen, but I hope I get to hear it live some day. howl
